DAY 1 : NAIROBI to AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK

Your adventure begins early at 07:30 AM with a warm welcome and pickup from your Nairobi hotel or directly from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. Set out on a scenic drive south through the Athi Plains and into Maasai country, where Amboseli National Park lies at the base of majestic Mount Kilimanjaro. Arrive in time for check-in at your lodge or camp, followed by a delicious lunch with breathtaking views of the open savannah.

After lunch, unwind and soak in the natural beauty around you, perhaps from your veranda or by the pool. At 4:00 PM, embark on your first thrilling game drive across Amboseli’s vast plains, home to elephants, zebras, giraffes, and predators. If skies are clear, the towering snow-capped Kilimanjaro makes a dramatic photographic backdrop. Return before dusk to your lodge for a hearty dinner, as the bush begins to hum with evening life. Later, settle into your room and drift to sleep to the distant sounds of wildlife under a blanket of African stars.

DAY 2 : FULL DAY IN AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK

Wake up to the golden sunrise casting a warm glow over Mount Kilimanjaro, often visible in the crisp early hours, and enjoy a hearty breakfast at your lodge. Today is dedicated to a full-day safari in Amboseli National Park, famed for its vast herds of elephants and classic views of wildlife set against the backdrop of Africa’s tallest peak. With your picnic lunch packed, venture into diverse habitats including open plains, acacia woodlands, and lush marshes teeming with life. The morning hours offer prime game viewing, with chances to spot buffaloes, lions, giraffes, cheetahs, and abundant birdlife.

At midday, ascend Observation Hill for sweeping views of the park while enjoying your lunch in nature. Afterward, continue your game drive near swamps where hippos and water birds gather. Return to your lodge around 3 or 4 PM and choose to relax or join an optional visit to a Maasai village for a glimpse into their vibrant culture. Enjoy dinner and a peaceful final evening in Amboseli.

DAY 3 : AMBOSELI to TAITA HILLS GAME SANCTUARY

After breakfast, check out by 7:30 AM and depart Amboseli for Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary, nestled between Tsavo West and Tsavo East. The drive takes you through picturesque rural landscapes, with views of farmlands, villages, and undulating hills, giving you a deeper glimpse into Kenya’s countryside. Upon arrival, check into your lodge, often perched on elevated ground with sweeping views of the sanctuary. Enjoy a freshly prepared lunch and take time to relax, perhaps spotting wildlife at a nearby waterhole.

At 4:00 PM, head out on an evening game drive through this unique sanctuary, famed for its rolling green hills, acacia woodlands, and dense elephant population. The private reserve also shelters lions, giraffes, zebras, antelope, and a wide variety of bird species. With fewer vehicles in the area, you’ll enjoy peaceful and personal wildlife encounters. Return to your lodge by sunset, freshen up, and enjoy dinner. The night is yours to relax in this serene and scenic setting.

DAY 4 : TAITA HILLS to TSAVO EAST NATIONAL PARK

After a hearty breakfast, check out at 9:00 AM and depart Taita Hills with a final game drive en route, giving you one last chance to spot wildlife in the lush sanctuary. As you journey toward Tsavo East National Park, the landscape gradually transforms from green hills to expansive red-soiled plains, a signature of Tsavo’s untamed beauty. Tsavo East one of Kenya’s oldest and largest parks is renowned for its vast landscapes, iconic red-dust elephants, and rugged wilderness.

Upon arrival, check into your lodge or camp and enjoy a peaceful lunch while watching for wildlife from your deck or dining area. Spend the early afternoon at leisure, soaking in the tranquility of the African bush. At 4:00 PM, head out on an evening game drive across the park’s open terrain. Keep an eye out for elephants, lions, giraffes, buffaloes and perhaps a leopard hiding in the thickets. Return to camp at dusk, enjoy a warm dinner and relax as nightfall brings the sounds of the wild close to your doorstep.

DAY 5 : FULL DAY IN TSAVO EAST NATIONAL PARK

Begin your day with an early breakfast before heading out on a thrilling half-day game drive. The vastness of Tsavo East means each drive brings new possibilities, from sightings of large herds of elephants at the Voi River to predators on the hunt. Keep an eye out for the park’s famous maneless lions, often seen resting in prides beneath acacia trees. You may also encounter giraffes, hartebeests, waterbucks, and abundant birdlife including hornbills and kingfishers.

Around midday, return to the lodge for a hot lunch and well-earned rest. The afternoon heat is perfect for a siesta or relaxing while enjoying views from the lodge’s veranda. Later, embark on a final game drive, exploring different areas and possibly spotting animals missed earlier. As the day ends, admire Tsavo’s dramatic sunset skies. Return to the lodge for dinner, reflecting on the day’s wildlife highlights. Your final night offers a last chance to enjoy the wild magic of Tsavo.

DAY 6 : TSAVO EAST to MOMBASA/DIANI BEACH

After a leisurely breakfast at your lodge in Tsavo East, you’ll prepare for the transition from the wild savannah to the serene Kenyan coast. At 8 AM, you’ll depart Tsavo East, beginning your scenic drive towards Mombasa’s North Coast or the pristine shores of Diani Beach. The route takes you through diverse landscapes, shifting from dusty plains to lush coastal vegetation, offering glimpses of rural life and small coastal towns along the way.

Upon arrival, you’ll be dropped off at your beach hotel, where the gentle ocean breeze and swaying palms create an idyllic retreat. Whether you choose Mombasa’s vibrant North Coast or the tranquil beauty of Diani Beach, both destinations promise stunning white sands and turquoise waters. We recommend a stay of at least 3 to 5 nights here to fully unwind. Spend your days swimming, snorkeling, or simply relaxing by the beach, soaking up the sun and the laid-back coastal vibe. The Kenyan coast offers a perfect ending to your safari adventure.

Payment Conditions

Explorers Wild Adventures accepts no responsibility for the progress of the confirmed services in the case of non-compliance to the following conditions of payment. The company recommends that you secure your booking  with a deposit of at least 30% of quotation to confirm the safari with the full balance of payment being due to Explorers Wild Adventures 25 days prior to departure date. Upon receipt of final payment the company will issue all relevant travel documents with fully confirmed status.

Cancellation Policy

Following your confirmation of the file, cancellation will result in the invoicing of cancellation fees according to the following schedule. Please note that we have no choice but to be very strict in the application of this clause. Several establishment in Africa apply cancellation clauses far stricter than ours, particularly in the event of an entire group cancelling. Where this is the case their clauses will apply rather than ours.

All cancellations must be made in writing to Explorers Wild Adventures. Please ensure you receive written confirmation that your cancellation has been received by us. All cancellations will be charged a cancellation penalty depending on the number of days before tour departure as shown above.

General Conditions

• According to the current use in our destinations, check-in in the hotels takes place from 14h00 and check-out before 11h00 in the morning.
• Quotation established subject to availability of hotels (and flights when applicable) following your confirmation.
• Except if otherwise indicated in our proposal, the validity of all rates exclude Peak Season. During Peak Season (Easter and Christmas/New Year) a supplement of aprox. 25 USD per person per day must be added. Exact supplement available on request.
• Taxes currently 14% but might resuly in price revisions in the case of fluctuations in the applicable rates.
• Our rates do not include personal extras and expenses, gratuities, or insurance for repatriation assistance, luggage or cancellation.
• Our rates do not include entrance visas (Kenya: 50 USD, Tanzania: 50 USD . Consult your nearest Embassy for details).
• International, domestic and regional flights in the programme are not included in the rates, except if otherwise specified in the quote.
• Our rates do not include airport taxes.

Important Information.

a). Specific accommodation described may not always be available. In the event of this happening, Explorers Wild Adventures will always recommend comparable alternative accommodation. It is then the decision of the traveller to accept or decline this alternative accommodation prior to committing to the deposits and pre-payments.

b). Tour costs are based on all known costs at the date of quotation. Any significant changes beyond the control of Explorers Wild Adventures will be passed onto travellers. Once a final quotation has been given by Explorers Wild Adventures and the same has been accepted on behalf of the client and the tour arrangement has been paid for as per our payment terms, then no additional charges and/or surcharges will be levied.

c). Explorers Wild Adventures reserves the right to alter any arrangements due to local conditions. Explorers Wild Adventures also retains the right to refuse any person from participating on or continuing on any tour for any reason or if that person causes or is deemed to cause hazard or inconvenience to other passengers or to Explorers Wild Adventures.

d). The company will not be responsible for any lost or delayed baggage, resulting from travel with an international scheduled airline.

e). Generally travellers in Africa using charter aircraft services to facilitate travel from one destination to another are limited to a baggage allowance of 33lbs/(15kgs) per passenger. This includes camera equipment and carry on baggage. It is important that this baggage is packed in lightweight duffel type bags.

h). Explorers Wild Adventures is not responsible for any changes in airline schedules, airfares, cancellations, loss or damage to baggage and overbooking. All claims for any loss or injury suffered on any airline must be made directly with the airline involved.
